It looks like they took away the hp to weight ratio and only use weight now?  Did I read that correctly?

Curious. I don't see an HP requirement either.

Do or do not, there is no "try".

I thought it was just a change in the weights.  Rather than allowing no minumum in Thunderbike, it has a floor.

Section 7 has been deleted.

That WAS the rule pertaining to dyno testing.
I would assume that is an effort to save money?
Or hopefully open up competition.

Lastly.. this made my chuckle..
added prior to testing.
(1.) Twin cylinder machines up to 700cc are required to meet
a weight limit of 470 lbs. (Tested weight of machine including rider
in leathers and boots during post race inspection.)

Looks like Ed Key needs some Cake.

So, how you're reading it, there is no HP limit now?

That is exactly how I perceive the updated rule.
It states "Section 7 has been deleted."
The section was the HP limits.

Well, you can now have 7,000HP, so, who cares?

If I remember correctly me and the bike weighed in at 480something.   Where do you put 90 lbs on a bike?
