Zsolt, praying for ya bro, your fiancee and team as well.  It was very humbling to see how you guys are making such sacrifices to stay by Zsolt's side and encourage him.  All of us have been brushed by the Euro-racing smiley faces of doom out on the track, but this trial is a lesson that you have taught all of us about what it means to be a team.  The heart of a roadracer shines through no matter how hard we take it out on our bodies.  Dont lose hope.  A little support is on the way.

Thank you for letting us come and visit you Brother! It was very uplifting to see the support of all your teammates, friends and family Zsolt. You have the strength and determination to overcome this trial with the help of God and all of our continuing prayers. Stay strong my friend!

Damn... It sucks to read this.

Stay close with him. He'll have a big transition back to carrying on his life where he will need a shit ton of support from all sides down the road a bit.

Best wishes.

Zoli, Antal thanks for the update and glad to hear of all the support he is seeing from everyone, as Larry stated, lets us know if we can help, in my business, some corporations may be willing to foot the bill to transport him on their private plane, it cant hurt to ask, and I will if needed...keep me posted, MWT is here for you guys...

Thanks guys, he'll need all the help he can get.  I visited him on Wednesday with Max, did a lot of exercise with his hands and legs. At the end of the day we clearly saw a little move in his left toe, then in the right one. We are soooo HAPPY! Even though this move was only about 1-2 millimeter, it's a good sign for the nerves to regenerate. But no one knows how long it will take and how much is coming back.

Today and Friday Zsolt Veres is there with him, then we'll see him again on the weekend.

Yes, he needs the help, and thanks for all the offers, but right now we are in a deep hole trying to figure out how to get out. We are still eliminating his options, stay in VA, go to NJ or move back to Hungary is also an option. Bottom line is that with no insurance, no medicaid, no any sources of funds I just cant figure out what's going to happen with him.

Anybody knows how to get medicaid for him? He paid taxes for a couple of years on his Tax ID number, is it possible that he is eligible?

Any info helps, thanks!

Antal

there are a number of options out there but i wouldn't be able to give enough insight about them to be of any help. one of you best easy bets would be to get in contact with the billing department at the hospital. whatever is out there, they would know enough about it to be able to point you in the right direction to get started.

Usually the hospital social workers can help to determine what options are possible from the various federal and state public resources as well as from private programs. They should already be in the loop with his discharge planning. If not, ask his nurse or physician for a SW referral.

Here are some links to info from HHS and VA DSS programs:

Best wishes for a full recovery, Zsolt.

Zsolt will be transferred to the Winchester Rehab Center on Monday morning. They took him for 4 weeks, not for free ($1400/day), but he can make a payment plan with the facility. The hospital wants him out, the doctor said he is ready for rehab. He is in the wheelchair for a couple hours a day. Lost a lots of weight, or course, having a hard time to push himself around. But he is strong mentally, and we are there for him and he knows it.

His leg moved a few times, but the doctor said it's only the reflexes working. I don't know. For me sometimes it looks like it moves when he wants it. But there are nights when he has to take muscle relaxation pills to stop them from jumping.

I want you guys to understand this; the 4 week rehab is not for to fix his legs. It's for to be able to transfer him in a car or on a plane. If there is hope for him to walk again-and I know there is!- it'll take maybee a year rehab. There is no way to pay for that out of pocket. Right now we are concentrating on the next 4 weeks, then we'll see from there. Maybee he'll be able to use the bathroom so he can loose the diapers.....probably he'll kick my ass for saying this....one day.

The good news is, his "member" is working! The nurses are having a hard time to use the catheter to pee-pee........now for sure he'll kick my ass.........

Guys, he don't want no Charity from anybody......I am asking for this....if you have a couple of dollars to spare, please send it his way. You can find his address and PayPal address on the previous pages. Zsolt Veres set it up for him, believe me, he didn't ask for this.

Thank You for everything you gave him already, spiritually, mentally and financially.

I forgot to mention; we are selling everything-race related- for him. Max has his van, 2005 Ford 350 6.0 L Diesel. I have his bike, still in good shape, 2009 R6 with Ohlins suspension and Bazzaz Traction control ( I know, I know......it's working....he lost the front going into T4....) Also a Haulmark Enclosed 8X5 trailer, I think 2006. Call me for prices. It'll all go for rehab, of course.
