Oh yeah....forgot the funny part...the guy that crashed actually found a part he lost in the crash the day before while we were waiting for the crash truck.....LOL!

And one other thing...as far as being a road block, there was some guy on an early 80's or late 70's dirt bike out there and a guy on an old Kawasaki 500 I think (not an EX, much older) that not only looked back on EVERY straight at least once (usually 2 or 3 times), he was running an expert plate!  You'll be fine...get your butt out there!

You have no control of what is behind you, only that which lies ahead.  Concentrate and focus on what you are doing and where you are going.  Be consistent and hold your line and faster riders will be able to overtake you without incident.  If you look behind, you may alter your riding with or without intending to do so.  Who cares where you have been?  Look up the track and focus! :)

MightyDuc Racing

That's exactly right.  A quick look back is okay once in a while, but this guy looked back on EVERY SINGLE STRAIGHT (at least once and sometimes 2 or 3 times).  It was ridiculous. ::)

Dave, this is Rick Your riders school instructor(Roebling Road)  I felt like you did a great job i the class! after we got your over heating prob straightened out .....  you are on my Hero of the week list for sure!

Everybody, and I mean everybody makes those kinds of errors when they take riders school. and I know I have taught over 3400 new racers in my 14+years of Learning Curves.  YOU HAVE the balls to talk openly about them.  If you are thinking about it and your head is into it GO RACING!!

you can always start in the back and work your way to the front. that what I did in 1980something!  my first race was a dice for last place. again a scenerio that not many people admit to.

I was proud to have been there for your first race weekend.

Rick

One other thing.  At least you noticed that the corner worker did something with the flag and tried to follow what you thought was an instruction from them.  A lot of the newbies I've seen so far don't even pay attention.  Good job.

Rick, thanks! :D

I really liked the school, also could you get me the email addresses of the two brothers that were riding with us? I want to keep in touch with them, and hear all about them when they go up against the Red Bull team LOL.

MightyDuc Racing

I think I get to have a run-in with the Red Bull team at Jennings in May in the AM Supertwins race.  Been hearing all about this cherry-picker...can't wait to see him in person.
