Well, we had fun. You guys missed it. I wish I had brought my 5-speed Escort though... didn't think we'd have so much time to play on the track.

Nice to see Bill and Claudia, "Diesel", Rob and everyone else!

As for the track, can you say "smooooth"?

We finished up around 1:00... came into the tower to eat... once 50 or so bellies were filled, you could see 50 or so pairs of eyes looking wistfully outside... and one by one, people slunk off to their cars for "just one lap"... they were STILL going 'round and 'round when we left!! Guess the "off-season withdrawal" was just too much!!

There's still LOTS of work to be done, and I sure hope the forecasted sunshine and warmer temps will help to dry out the massive mud-puddles. There's also a very serious drop-off along the left-hand side of the track between 6a and 7 (at least 8" down, and a foot wide) - the plan is for concrete but in the interim they'll have it filled in with dirt/sand/something before the cars start running on Tuesday.

Sorry I missed it! I spent the whole day reasembling the bike. Started with a bare frame and swingarm this morning and it's almost running. :D

Infield isnt compacted completly yet. Theres still ALOT of work to be done by Tuesday for teh cars.

LOL, Dave - Yeah, we hooked up with Al on Friday night in the Ace Hardware parking lot. Unfortunately we won't have it ready for this weekend cuz it's tooo cold to paint, but it sure does look nice! It's exactly what I wanted.
