How Far Would You Drive For a Hamburger?

A couple friends once talked me into going to a Sonic with them.  4 1/2 hours later...

My wife and I both adore sonic (I like the cherry limeades)  We rode several hours on the bike once to get to one.  Plus there is an oscar winning movie about that, maybe you've heard of it "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle"  I think they spent an entire night getting to one.

My wife and I are Sonic Cherry-Limeade junkies!  I think the food sucks, but their drinks are great. White Castles is a life long favorite.....no better food at 3am than a sack of slingers sand some cheese fries!

White Castle is the 1st time I ever saw chicken in ring form....And it was gooooood! ha

Around here, we call 'em sliders (for reasons I'd rather not get into), but for a month they let you call 'em sliders as a promotion.  IMHO White Castle is the best drunk food.  Breakfast at Sonic is good too.  When I lived in Arkansas I worked at a Midas right next to a Sonic.  Needless to say but, I got fat(er).

Slingers is the name my Dad used since we lived in Michigan.  I have also heard Sliders, Gut-Grenades, Gall-Bladder-Stress-Tests, etc etc.

I agree- there are few places better than Whiteys to cure the brown bottle flu!  Besides- any place mentioned in a Beastie Boys' song is badass..."White Castle fries only come in one size!"

Wait a minute. Sonic burgers suck but White Castle are good? I have a problem with that statement.

Supposedly, a new Sonic opened up on the west side of Madison, but I haven't been there yet.  I just know it wouldn't be the same as the first time.

I regularly drive 2 hours to my  favorite White Castle.   I also asked Chris to take me there for Valentines Day one year.  He refused.
