Hello all, hope everyone is having a great day and busy wrenching for the 09 season. I just wanted to stop in and get a few thoughts. I am an amateur racer in the Mid-Atlantic region. I have been racing for 4 years now, running a limited schedule due to money, work, etc. I been to every venue excluding Barber. I ran middle weight classes. I was interested in trying the Team/Solo Challenge this year. Not really to compete for a championship, but to get track time and challenge myself . Wondering if this would be a good idea or a waste of money. Should I follow through, what additional resources should I expect to add to the list of a routine race weekend? Any input is greatly appreciated. Hope to see you all soon!

Endzel, you gonna do this with me or what!?

I say go for it
it is a lot of fun to do the solo or the team challenge
if you have someone to do the team with you that you want to ride your bike go for it
or if you want to try it alone its long but fun
either way its fun and you get some good track time
and some one will always help out with the pit stops

Whats up bro Jordan!  I think there are gonna be enough of us at Carolina that we can scrounge a pit crew, and maybe Endzel will roll with ya.  I'd do it myself, but I assume you actually want to win the race... The only thing I'd suggest is get your bike, gear and tools set up now as if you were running the TC, that way when the time comes, the budget and prep will be in place if you decide to go for it.  You've got some good skills and I think you'll do well.  Lemme know if you're gonna camp or get a room, I should have the toy hauler for lodging.  Good hangin out with everyone the other night.  Hey Endzel, post a pic of the new bling bodywork.

As soon as it's done I will!  It may be a while...
