Its pretty sad, like when baseball went on strike.  It took awhile for it to get popular again.  Just like NASCAR plate races, people hated it, now dega, daytona, and the other plate races are attended the most.

Well, the last Daytona that Roger really had input into during the prior year was in 1994.  And I know that there were over 100 entries for 80 positions.  Entries for Daytona have been falling for years.  How many entries were there last year?  I don't think this is much different.  Anyone actually have data?  I think there were maybe less than 20 riders that actually made the Superbike grid.

Don't forget, there was also that Florida court case that makes it to where the kids can't race at Daytona.  So, they can't enter anyway.  Not a huge population, but it's a factor.

about the same as last year. there were 71 riders attempting to qualify last year. 69 made it. minimum age for ama pro is 16 . what is minimum age to race at daytona?

Numbers are essentially the same and they have insurance coverage for the kids to race.
