So I was in the garage tonight, lopping chunks off my Buell with a hacksaw.  This got me thinking about the ultimate obsessive-compulsive bike lightener, Ed Key.  I can just picture him at the drill press, covered in aluminum chips, saying, "The first rule of Lite club is that you don't talk about Lite Club."
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

All the while he is drilling, he would be mumbling his motto "Every Gram is Sacred"

If you need to build your stamina toward the insanely labor intensive project just keep tellling yourself "grams turn into ounces, ounces into pounds"   If you repeat it enough times, you will be crazy too!!!!

And a shave.  Make him smooth like Michael Phelps.

Meditation is the most important... one must sit and stare at the machine for hours, possibly while drinking beer.

Only through visualization can one see the heaviest parts of the parts...

Only through spreadsheets may one fully understand that the absence of something is greater than the presence something...

If I had the cash I would have a CNC mill, a CNC lathe, a waterjet, and autoclave, maybe a paint booth....... you get the picture

I have a hammer, a chainsaw, and a Buell.  Does that work?

So, wearing my leathers while visualizing should protect me from the hardness of the walls?

You must BE the bike... except while crashing!

That would be one of the better equipped Buell workshops.
