OK, to give some hints, here is part of the story behind the picture:
After a round of racing at Mid-America, a certain well known Midwest road racer (we'll call him Dr. Krup in this story to protect the innocent) invited 4 of his friends to stay at his house in Des Moines on the way home so that they would not have to drive too late trying to return to Chicago or Minneapolis. This sounds real nice in theory.
Well, it was like 3:30 AM and a couple of the friends were suffering from insomnia. While trying to figure out a way to make some additional income for the race season, a thought came to mind! What about becoming interior decorators? Well, since it was late and alcohol was involved, they thought about it and decided to give it a try. Since they were already at a house that could benefit from some re-decorating, we (oops, I mean "they") figured that it would be good to give this new business venture a try.
So, after looking at the kitchen, it was decided that it would be better for the stove to be out on the patio since who cooks indoor anyways! Then we looked at the hole where the stove used to be and decided that it looked empty, so the charcoal grill ended up in it's place. All of the furniture was rearranged, the plants were moved around and the pictures on the walls were moved throughout. Needless to say, they saw all these number 1 plates laying around that were not being displayed properly, so they placed them outside above the garage door and in various spots where it would show the pride of being a CCS racer properly. While doing this, one of the culprits decided that it was time to wash the friends car since it looked dirty. That is when this wonderful photo op came into play. After a lot more rearranging, it was decided that the decorations were looking much better and it was time to get some sleep. 2 hours of sleep later and it was time to get up and get going since there was a long drive ahead. It was odd though when they received a call at 8:00 AM from Dr. Krup begging them to return and help him move everything back or they would die! I guess Dr. Krup did not like the new layout! Unfortunately, the phone was not working properly at the time and they were unable to get the message until much later when it was too far away to go help.
And that is how DJP Interior Designs came to be.
The best part of it all was when they waited a week or so to send him a copy of the picture where someone was energizing his protein shake mix! This obviously worked since Dr. Krup went faster than he ever had before from that weekend forward.
So, does that help to figure out who is in this picture?
