True Story?

I just read this story and I don't know whether to believe it or not:

The dazed crew of a Japanese trawler were plucked from the Sea of Japan clinging
to the wreckage of their sinking ship. Their rescue, however, was followed by immediate
imprisonment once authorities questioned the sailors on their ship's loss.

To a man they claimed that a cow, falling out of a clear blue sky, had struck the trawler amidships, shattering its hull and sinking the vessel within minutes.

They remained in prison for several weeks, until the Russian Air Force reluctantly informed
Japanese authorities that the crew of one of its cargo planes had apparently stolen a cow wandering at the edge of a Siberian airfield, forced the cow into the plane's hold and hastily taken off for home.

Unprepared for live cargo, the Russian crew was ill-equipped to manage a now rampaging cow within its hold. To save the aircraft and themselves, they shoved the animal out of the
cargo hold as they crossed the Sea of Japan at an altitude of 30,000 feet.

True story or BS?

I have heard this story before.
It was told to me, as a true story.

Well at least the cow sinking the ship part.

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

At 30,000 feet the cow would be dead unless the aircraft was pressurized. If the aircraft was pressurized they would not have been able to open a door to get it out.

It would have been funny if it was true!
My thoughts exactly Edgar!  I guess that's why I posted it.

There you go again, throwing logic and laws of physics into ruining a perfectly good story.  Thanks Paul!

Maybe this was some kind of high tech military Russian cargo plane that had an ejection portal big enough for a cow to fit thru.  It could happen.  Really, it could.  And pigs can fly and there'll never be a night game at Wrigley Field either and SV's should be able to enter any class you want!!  :ass:

Can cows swim?

sort of...we once had a cow take a flying leap into a manure pit, and it was able to paddle its way to where it could touch and drag it's self out.  It looked like it was struggling to keep its head up...and that was in manure which is much thicker then water, so i don't know if they could do it in water.
