OK this topjc has only been convered a billion times but what can I do? For a 97 GSXR750 running standard teeth up front, what size out of a 45, 46, and 47 would be best for the rear sprocket?

fzr400tony

we ran 45 on the rear of our 96.  but we suck.  :)

Now Tony you know we've already had the sho sucks more debate. Thanks for the info.

no problem.  you gonna be there on the 11th and 12th?  if so, keep an eye out.  i'm racing my 750, so a stock suspensed 2000 750 vs a fox equipped 97, we should be able to easily identify who sucks more.

anyway, i'll have a BIG black ford dually with green enclosed trailer and an all black 750 #725 (yellow plates of course).  :)

#4
P.O.S. blue/rust Bronco 2, open (maybe yellow maybe blue) trailer, & yellow plates number 167. When you leaving? We are leaving Friday around 3 from Stroudsburg and meeting another guy somewhere on the road. 2000 750! You will spank my tush! What classes you running? I'm staying away from the purse classes since this is my first race weekend. Oh and not only YOUR Fox shock but Race tech front  ;D

fzr400tony

i'm racing the non-purse classes too (hwss, hwsb and unlss).  i'll be leaving from baltimore (i'll there during the week) saturday morning, about 5:00am.  after the races, i'm heading to delaware.  work is never done.  :)

my goal is to just get a feel for the bike.  i'm hoping not to crash :)  i never really got comfortable on the 96 750, but it wasn't my bike.  this one's mine, so i'm hoping....

I hear ya, I did so much work to the bike over winter I'm gonna take it easy and just make sure everything is good to go. That is the crappy thing about race bikes, you do the work and can't go buzzing down the highway to check it out.

I raced a 97 750 a couple of years ago and used a 47 tooth sprocket. That was the best compromise we found at summit pt.
