No, the banjo bolts don't need to be wired. Mine had holes in them already, so I wired them.

Yes, you can route the tubes to the bellypan.

AFAIK, here's the list of REQUIRED things:

Oil Drain Bolt
Oil Fill Cap
Oil Filter
Coolant Drain Bolt

When in doubt ..... wire it. For non essentials you can at least  run a hole through the bolt or bolt and nut and put a clip in (easier than safety wiring) to keep whatever it is in place. That way even if it loosens up it won't fall out.

Nylock nuts are also a good idea for non essentials but don't reuse them. Each time you take the nut off, toss it and put on a new one, cheap insurance.

When I was racing I wired everything. Tech inspectors thought I owned stock in the wire company.  ::) ;D

I think it was Hacking that had to bail at RA in turn 1, and he had just had a violent tank slapper on the front straight that caused his problem.  However, I safety wire everything I possibly can.  It's just not worth it to have something fall off and cause an unnecessary crash.

Melka...sorry to hear about your friend...I hope he's okay.

Yep, RA last year.  The reason I heard was that the tankslapper pushed the pistons in on the front calipers so when he got to T1, no brakes.

That's what I thought he had said.  Something about it being his fault for not checking them before he got to the turn.  It never would have occurred to me to check the brakes after a slapper...guess I will after seeing that though.

Quotefront caliper bolts should be wired but not required to be by CCS. my friend crashed when his caliper bolts came out after rushing to get rain tires on at Moroso. no brakes going into 7 at over 100mph. hit rears, slid, highsided, bike landed on him. hes pretty busted up and still in the hospital.

Hope your buddy is doing o.k. and will recover quickly!  Give him our best from CCS midwest.
