$10,385 at the auction itself.  For the whole weekend, almost $14k!!!!

If the sock monkey umbrella person (I dunno who was under that thing) is willing, I suggest he/she could be auctioned off to assist at lightweight, middleweight, heavyweight and Team challenge races, thus increasing contributions times four.

The Sockmonkey wanted to thank the Red Flag Fund for the opportunity to be weird and help raise money, and also the James Gang for the generous donation. It sounded thrilled to be part of the Auction.

I'm sure it would be willing to participate in future fundraising efforts, and would love help to raise as much money as possible, but it's also worried that the novelty and surprise is now over - and also that spending half the day out in August heat would kill it from heat exhaustion.
