Where the hell is america headed

  I went to the mall today to pick up the new issue of road racing world from one of the three bookstores, only to find that all three are closed.  Two of them were coffee shops the other was an overpriced art store.  Granted I haven't been to this mall in about a year, but still.  Then the only store that had anything to read was a newsstand with only tabloid mags.  On my way out passing all of the ten year olds with cell phones that cost as much as my computer, I walked passed a salon that only caters to kids.  That isnt that note worthy in of itself, but this salon has booths with video games for the kids to play while getting a haircut.  I know that when I was a kid it was hard as hell to get me to pay attention in school, now with all of the options that are being taken away from our kids and distractions added, being a parent now is going to be more difficult.  While in the mall listening to the conversations these kids are having,  would make George Carlin blush.  I am now scared to go into the mall, and will forever hold my crucifix up while passing it on the street.

Read? Why the hell would any kid wanna read when they can get everything piped into them? Look for the USB port on new borns, it's there, just plug 'em in and down load whatever ya want!
