Have you had enough seat time this season?  I know I don't, so I need some mojo too.  Maybe you need a new motor? :thumb:

What changed from last year?  You're on the same bike, so that's not it, are you on the same tires?  Did you change your suspension fluid over the winter?  Anything about the bike that feels different now?  It could be something small that's just giving you a different feel for traction and taking away your comfort level.

Or it could be the typical cycle of going Expert, not finishing as well as when you were an Amateur now that your racing against the fastest racers, and not having some type of reward to strive for any longer. Plaques / contingency / purse money can be great for that handfull of Experts who can regularly finish in the Expert Top 5, but for the rest of the grid the motivation has to come from somewhere else. I think your just at that pivotal point many Experts go thru of having to accept the fact that to get into the Top 5 you would have to substaintially step-up your game and spend ALOT more money than you are and realize that you still wouldn't be guarenteed a Top 5 finishing position. In my opinion when the Risk vs. Reward ratio is never paying off it's the point where many racers bail out of racing all together - hence the never ending arguement for moving all contingency and purse payouts away from the Amatuers and providing incentives for the Experts to continue racing with deeper payouts into the feild. Amatuers are going to race whether there's contigency and purse money or not because of the newness / thrill factor of just racing, it's once a person's raced for a while that many desire and even need the incentives to continue racing - incentives to stive for beyond just the thrill of racing. I find it insulting how people will argue that Amatuers NEED the contingency and purse money because their just starting out - like somehow the Experts don't spend as much money as new Amatuers? Those people need to take a look at what it takes to race as a Top 5 Expert in most classes, there's generally a substaintial investment of time and money consumed to stay at that level of competition.

Threads like this one and the "Why the lack of entries in Factory Pro Sportbike?" thread are classic and recurring examples of why we need to focus on what it takes to attract and keep people racing for longer as Experts and Pro's.  :thumb:

It'll come back before too long Becka, like you I have no mojo either this season add to that no luck (and it's better to be lucky than good) - welcome to the no mojo club. It'd be nice to have some of Jack's mojo. He's got it goin'.

How about switching to a new bike? A nice Ducati could be all you need... hmm, yeah that's it :thumb:

See you next weekend.
