Might not hurt to put a saved search on ebay for that bike in case the dude that stole it is stupid enough to post it up.

More of an inside job than that.

Three of us at the 2006 Road Atlanta event had some of our credit cards taken from our wallets.  I say some because they left me others that made me think that I dropped them at the auto parts store the night before.  They had obviously knew the session that I was going out in, they had watched me put my shorts in a very specific, unique place in my trailer.  Didn't take my cash or anything else, just three credit cards.

Wow that's a bad deal. I spoke with your wife about it for a while when I gave her my extra tire warmers. It's an absolute shame that someone that I would assume has a nice sportbike would go to the extreme to of stealing a mountain bike. I will for sure look at the way I leave my belongings more closely now. When someone asked me a month ago at HPT why I didn't lock everything up when I went out on the track I told them it was the ability to trust everyone that was there. They worked their butts off to get their things and they know that I have too. I'm sure it wasn't a racer. I couldn't see that but it's always possible.

More than likely it was someone who really has nothing to do with bikes and came out to scope for stuff to steal.

Don't recall specifics, but I think I read about a couple of CCS racers caught stealing.  One was maybe in Texas, the other in FL?  Whatever, just shows that usual common sense rules apply.
