:wtf:  I hate to hear this as I am probably the laziest when it comes to putting stuff away at night or while out.  I have had many things stolen but never at the track, even when I was little going with family we never encountered that.  Dustin, I think that flea market might've had something to do with it.  It couldn't have happened to nicer guy.

This is for the useless shit-head that stole it.............. :finger:
Come back when Dustin is there, as he is a little larger than you might think

Yes, I recall wondering why this bicycle was lying on its side.  Think I got distracted with something and didn't go pick it up.

That sucks! and I'm sorry to hear that.  I know it doesn't work well on a bicycle, but I think putting your race number on pit bikes, etc. helps deter this kind of stuff(well, at least a little I hope).

BTW Shun, your bike was cracking me up, then I saw Clayton riding it, and I about pissed myself-funny stuff!

Thank everyone for the responses.  It was taken saturday afternoon from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

I always see these threads about trying to get more spectators out to the tracks but this is the negative part.  I see an organization so worried about getting gate fees from people in the paddock but what security does that leave us.  For 15 bucks a head anyone can come in and go shopping.  So now, not only do I get to pay vendor fees, race fees, and gate fees, now I get to go up to walmart and buy a bunch of cable and locks to go into lockdown mode to protect myself from thieves.   This sucks.

One recommendation. If you bring a bicycle, especially expensive ones (ie non-$75 walmart specials) write the serial numbers down and keep them someplace in your vehicle. Comes in handy when you have to file a police report. Also a picture of the bike is good also.

I never know how secure to be with my stuff at the track. Most times I could never imagine anyone at the track walking away with even the cheapest of trinkets from my tent. Between tools and clothes and gear we all have 10's of thousands of dollars just laying around.

That said, this weekend at Summit I brought my boxer puppy to the track and I had to leave her a few times alone. I felt like I shouldn't have to, but I felt very strongly (unfortunately) that I needed to pad lock her cage and lock it to something immovable. I couldn't name a single person I distrust at the track, but I just had that bad gut feeling.

red900

Russell,   trust your gut.

That is a fact, thousands of dollars of equipment left to whomever.  I cannot imagine if someone would have taken something irreplaceable like our pet or even worse.  You guys may think this is funny but I may go buy a bunch of that crazy orange snowfence and put up an area around my paddock just to keep people from getting to close too easy.  Go to an AMA round, they put up barriers to keep people back....

No i dont think it was the michelin guy, he would have taken my air compressor, much more effective...
