What's the best place to stay in Topeka.  I'm looking for something close to the track and clean.  Lows in the 40's is a bit cool for me to tent it.

The Super 8 by the track is supposed to be ok.

Other than that, the nice stuff I have found is at Wannamaker and 470 west.  There are a lot of restaurants and probably 7-8 hotels within 1/2 mile.  It is a bit of a hall to the track, maybe 10-15minutes.

I got a room at the super 8 down the street.  Its a pretty nice place and the rates are reasonable.

We're staying at Quality Inn on Wanamaker Rd.. Only 15 mins or so from the track, best part its free if you have enough AmEx points...

They all look the same when your eyes are closed....
