No friday practice. Show up, figure out the new turn(s), and race. I just ran the track in my head, my blood pressure soared, can't wait til they throw the flag.

I know of a few more who are coming from N. Va

I think about 5 or 6 other amateurs.  I've watched some video, looks like a fun track!

I've also been told there's some sort of bump in the kink so avoid it by going left?  Anyone care to share more info?

Bump? more like jump. Yep take it just to left of it. Find a reference point and then aim for the sealer strip - you'll see what i mean. At race pace its 6th wfo going at it, kinda hairy. I think some take it on the inside, but they are a different breed.

The track is abrasive on tires and can be slippery from the fine sand blowing around. Not terribly difficult to figure out, but at the same hard to go fast, but hopefully the new turns will help that.

Thanks 207!  I appreciate the input!

I am going to bring my supermoto to use as a pit bike...wonder if the staff would let me use it for some jumps?

Back to the subject at hand...I posted up on a few other boards and have not seen too many people saying that they are coming down to CMP...my hope is for a good turn out!  I was at a trackday this past Sunday helping a friend and even with 20 degree temps the paddock was packed so I am hoping that a lot of the yellow plates I saw will make it down to CMP.

:thumb:  How about a show of thumbs.  I did a "test" race with tmp there a year and a half ago.  It must have been 40 degrees out and drizzling.   :whine:
Begin it now.

Sounds like summit main yesterday. Quite a few mishaps.   Mainly lowsides due to wet track. Didn't hear of any serious injuries. Talk with several people that said they will be at CMP.Should be nice turn out.
