Wondering - At the HPT ASRA weekend what day is Kawi paying contingency???? I know that they are paying in the ASRA stuff and I will be running that - but I would like to know about the regular CCS stuff because it's a twin sprint....

And thanks for getting a garage for us and my team owner(Rob Baker/DGY) down at Daytona

So in other words - Kawi isn't paying in any of the CCS stuff - Only in the ASRA...... That sucks......

Looks like if you want to make decent kawi money this year we need to race Louden...or CRA.

good thing I'm racing for fun to throw money down the drain.
Otherwise I'd be an unhappy newly-white glad to not have tossed the '05 for an '08

I am going to hit some of the CRA's for sure - how many depends on how the next AMA round goes.....  Rob are you just riding a 600 this season - or are you gonna hop back on a big bike too???

I'll let the cat out of the bag...I'm on the big bike too this year. I have a couple Honda 600's, and new Suzuki 600 on the way, and a ZX10. So, I'm going to try to get a little something back this year. We'll see. CRA looks like the best bet so far for contingency payouts.

It seems like Kevin and the crew get the shaft from the manufacturers when the payout schedules are released. I'm sure they only get so many dates and have to spread them around. I wouldn't be suprised if the manufacturers tell them at least to some extent, where the payout dates need to be.

Especially with gas prices being as they are, I'm sure most riders with the ability to earn money back will be looking at the payout schedules as part of their decision making process to decide where to travel to. Other than MAM my closest track is 5 hours away with Blackhawk being 7.5 hours away. Most riders in my position probably wouldn't pay 4+ dollars a gallon to go 7 hours to a track without a payout on a given weekend even if it meant driving 10 hours to a track with payouts available.

I hope with the new presenting sponsor and the potential for great racing this season that the CCS will be able to attract better manufacturer contingency for all regions, rather than select regions. There are a bunch of great racers starting to branch out and travel out of the area to look for payout opportunities and to race the other fast guys that tend to migrate that direction. It sucks to see fast guys come up through the CCS ranks and then take off for WERA etc because of the earning potential. Don't get me wrong, WERA is an awesome club and I don't mind racers going there if they can ADD it to their schedule, but to lose guys to them altogether is tough. Looks like the CRA payout schedule makes them a contender as well.

This year I am racing three brands of motorcycle. Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. CRA has 5 rounds of competition. Honda pays 4 out of 5, Kawasaki pays 4 out of 5, Suzuki pays 3 out of 5, Yamaha pays 4 out of 5, Ducati and Buell pay all of them like they do everywhere else. Those are excellent odds if you ask me...

Ahmen Brother! I'm looking for a Buell to race also this year, but my budget isnt giving in to afford it..

I am not in any position to make any of my $'s back via the manufacturers payouts unless there is a 10 bike crash on the last lap, but at least with a Buell I would have a shot at some $'s every weekend..

That right there is enough to look into buying one.
