Galfer Wave vs Galfer Superbike Wave Rotors

I have them, but I haven't tried the regular Galfers. I can tell you they are unbelieveable compared to stock Ducati.

I found that for the speed I was able to carry on my SV putting new soles on the sidi's worked best!

Just Cancelled my order for the normal Wave Galfer front rotors on the SV.  Just too much money over used stock ones....  I'm sure they're great but I can probably spend $450 more wisely.

No brakes = faster lap times.

What a brilliant idea?  But what happens at a red flag.   Didn't you see the World Superbike race last weekend.  That guy tried your idea.

Either should work fine. I prefer the standard wave rotor design over the SBK design due to the continuous contact of the brake pads to the rotor surface. The SBK design has significant breaks between contact points. I ran the standard type on my SV's (300mm GSXR type) without issue. They had more power & better feel than the OEM GSXR 320mm rotors I used initially. They had so much power for a 320 lb SV, too much really, that I ended up putting on 2 pad R1 Sumitomo calipers for less brake force. The 4 pad (& 2 pad as well) Tokico GSXR calipers were simply too much brake for this application. I was glad I didn't use 320mm rotors. That would have been worse yet. The wave rotors didn't show any wear after two seasons?  I can highly recommend the 300mm GSXR wave rotors on the SV, they work.  CP

No, I haven't sold her yet...I would actually have to put her up for sale first.
As far as breaks go I really don't think you can have to much, I suppose it would be more a question about feeling.
