I've had a lot of time to think while driving back north from Florida after a track day in Jennings, and in between puking from the stomach flu and sitting in the endless backup from this ice storm that is slamming DC, I've realized these past years on the track that motorcycle roadracing is not just a hobby, where a weekend is spent playing and then everyone takes their toys and goes home.  It is a way of life, it is a reflection of the courage and spirit of adventure that exists within our hearts and in many ways is inseparable from our personalities, even when we are not in the saddle.   We run a little hot, can be very passionate on certain issues, and in general, roadracers often exhibit many qualities of leadership.

Since CCS has asked me to be a chaplain, I want you to know I'm not just in this for 48hr bursts of faith on a race weekend, but 24/7-365, you have access to counsel and encouragement. And when the sugar really hits the fan, the gixxer can be anywhere east of the Mississippi in a relatively short time.  God is not just some nebulous blob floating in space as a cosmic crutch, so when you are struggling or hurting, at the end of your 520 chain, or just want to know more about faith, shoot a pm or phone call.  I'm not a televangelist fraud, but a husband and father, raising 3 kids, balancing finances, career, and passion for racing, who has found the best of friends in those I share the track with, and will stand by you as a friend.  Art#220  410 490 0542.

Art, awsome words and thanks for being there both on and off race weekends.  You know, last year you told me and a few others that it is an addiction and you're always looking for your next fix.  Those words couldn't be further from the truth and to know that the fix is manageable with the help of the family and friends found in the CSS makes it an addiction to be proud of...While the money lasts...If you're going to Carolina, see ya there.

Thanks bros for the encouraging words, I'm looking forward to the 08 season.  Dave, my schedule actually looks pretty good.  I'll be retiring in a couple weeks and that pretty much opens the rest of the season.  I hope to make most if not all MA and joint SE events, and the rest of the time, saddle gixxer and be a mentor and big brother to yoots and young adults from tough backgrounds who ride the streets in the Orlando/Daytona area where I will be moving.  I'll catch up with ya at Carolina Keebler!

He means it too boys and girls.  Art will be there in any capacity he can, whenever he can.  He's a good friend.

ART!!!!  I'll throw a tarp over your bike any day!  And I absolutely can't wait for Carolina..... it's like Christmas morning when I was a kid!!!

Art it is always encouraging to see a man think of others first, it is rare in life that someone really offers a helping hand and means it,  it is rare for someone to ask "How are you doing?" and really mean it, I know you well enough to know how sincere you are in your offer to help, what really sold me on your sincerity was that you gave everyone here you phone number, that my friend is really stepping up to the plate ..Bob
