I've got a 2003 600rr that I've been trying to send out to paint for a few weeks now, but I can't decide on the color and design of the number plate on front.  I've got Armour Bodies bodywork.  Show me what you guys have!!

Color? Color should be easy. You're an amateur right? It has to be yellow. Yellow. Not lemon, or neon, or post-it note, just straight up yellow. As for shape, you could look at a photographer's site, like Gron4 and look at what other people have done. Just don't do any super wonky shapes like stars. They don't like that so much.

Yep, Truckstop's exactly right, gotta be normal yellow W/ black #'s.

Here's the # plates that were on your bike...

I've got more if you want to see them.

Here's what I ran on my 05 last year.

Never had one single complaint from Larry  on my plates or numbers!

Thanks guys.  Yes I know it has to be yellow...I was referring to the design aspect of the plate.  What shapes, sizes, angles, etc. you guys had.

This is an '05, but I believe that the front cowl of the '05-'06 is the same or close enough to that of the '03-'04.  Hope it helps:

be very plain or Larry will have a fit, hell he'll have a fit anyway since you will have yellow plates.  Make sure you use ones with serifs on them like this ->1 and not like this->l   He'll go nuts

Thanks.

And I just realized why there was confusion with color.  I meant I couldn't decided on the color of the bike (what color I was going to have it painted), and the design of the plate. (not color of the plate).

Thanks again for the replies.

Be sure the plate is school bus yellow with no hint of green or neon.  After a crash I received my bodywork back from the painters with a hint of neon.  Went to Barber and the yelling started from 50 yards away.  After several hollers and finally the guy yelling for me to stop turning around I realized it was me he was yelling at.  Had to do a duct tape special to pass tech.

I thought the number one should *not* have serifs? It should be a straight up and down stick - l - like in the pics above. If the top serif "wing" is too big, it can be mistaken for a 7. FYI I haven't found any normal sans-serif fonts that have a number one without at least some kind of notch or serif at the top. (I use a lower case "l" or capital "I" - which look correct depending on the font as long as they don't have serifs on it.)

it was supposed to be a joke, thats why there was a smiley afterwards
at Road A he didn't check a damn thing but gave me shit for my serif on my 1.  Hell he saw it at HPT and didn't say a word about it

Dan,

I can't tell you how many emergency serifectomy's I've had to perform.
