I am in the process of prepping an SV for use on the track, and I want to keep it supersport legal.  I was wondering if it is OK or not to replace the rear subframe.  I plan on running full Sharkskinz, and I want to use their subframe.  Reading the CSC rules, you can't modify the frame, but I didn't know what others are doing regarding the subframe.

I was reading the thread about modified-or-"racing" air filters for the SV and how someone with the "racing" filter got D.Q.ed.  Anyhoo, they said something like "...yea, it's a stupid rule, like that subframe rule..."  I think the CCS does have a prob. with the whole subframe thing.  Dunno why.

Aftermarket sub-frames are legal per Kevin Elliot.

Eric is right, there is nothing in the CCS rulebook that prohibits the use of an aftermarket subframe, and to the best of my knowledge, there hasn't been for over 10 years.
