Cool...Michael Mills kicked my butt at Homestead my first weekend and I'm curious as to how he did today.  I wanted to go to Daytona, but decided to save the cash for the rest of the season.  Thought I could beat him there with the motor on my Duc, but kinda glad I didn't go now...wouldn't have had the cash for rain tires.  I appreciate the info.  I hope you are healing up ok and can race later this month or asap, anyways.  Thanks in advance and I'll see you at Moroso, be sure to look me up.  Ducati AM#944.

duck the answer to winning over your buddy you want to beat is corner speed. what were your lap times at homestead. your duck should be faster just brake later and just before you let off the brakes go ahead and tip it in the turn and get on the gas.  how i won the ccs nationals last october was eric gray told me if your not on the gas your on the brakes and if your not on the brakes your on the gas.  meaning some times when you come into a corner an let off the brakes you coast a little before turning in. stop with that and you will notice a difference. be smooth.  see ya

I mostly ran 1:42-1:43, but managed to turn a miracle 1:38 while trying to gap the guy in 5th during the GT Lights race.  I have a ton of learning to do still.  So far I have been to Jennings once for a track day and got maybe 40 laps in before we gave up with mechanical probs and then to the races at Homestead where I only got 2 good practices in after finally finding my carb problems and then ran three races but had to deal with a sticking throttle.  Go it all sorted now and I hear that Moroso is a track that takes a ton of corner speed.  If I can get behind somebody and follow their lines to learn I do o.k.  In the Supertwins race at Homestead I was running with the leaders and actually making a move into 3rd into the chicane when the throttle stuck and sent me into the gravel.  I think I was actually ahead of Mills at that point cuz I had somebody to follow that was faster than me.  I think I am gonna see a lot of the back of his SV this year, but hopefully I can get him a few times.  I noticed that I was using the horsepower advantage well and was going a lot later on the brakes than the other amateurs, but probably slowing too much and actually kind of blocking them in the corners.  It was unintentional but effective, but I don't see it working at any other track than Daytona.  Did you see me ride at all at Homestead?  Any more tips you have are greatly appreciated!  Thanks again!!!  And congratulations on Prieto Racing doing so well so far at Daytona!!!

confedence is everthing you have to have it. if you did a 38 once you can do it again. at moroso shane tought me before you go out for practice make yourself take two corners or three and do nothing but work on those corners. then next time out take 2 or 3 more and at the end of the day push yourself safely. remember your bike will more than likely be able to do what ever you hand out to it.  you should have your bike and suspension set up through eric at GMD Computrack it will make all the diff in the world. I had a lota help last year when i started and i still dont know shit but if i can help someone else i will.moroso is really a easy track and there is only really one line just dont go into the cannal.  hope this helps.

Oh, yeah...the canal at Moroso. Been there twice. At one time, they were calling me aquaman. I put an FZR600 and an F2 in there (back when they were the bikes to have).

Moroso had a fun layout when I ran there. What do you guys think of it now? I heard they changed it quite a bit...

Don't give up on your dreams! If an illiterate like K3 can write a book, imagine what you can do!

:)  I've heard about the canal/lake problems there.  I think I won 1/2 off a Computrack set-up at the banquet.  I just do't have the extra cash.  What kind of money would I be looking at?

Thanks,
Bryan
