About how much would it cost to race at Daytona?
Considering that I have a 600 and am 40+yrs old and drive from St. Louis.
And include camping or mo/hotel and everything involved...

If I race in only one race, I know, stupid to drive that far for one race but, as for the least amount.

Vs.

Racing in all the classes I can, Max amount.

How much would it cost???

Thanks.

it cost too much money
you could race at least 3 weekends at your home track for the same price

I have been to Daytona twice and average price was around $3500 for each round. Gary is correct that you could probably do 3 rounds with that amount of cash if not more if you are super frugal. Daytona is not worht it IMHO unless you are chasing a national title and have a shot.

I think showing up there early in the season helps get you up to speed.

But it would be cheaper to go to little Talladega or Texas or someplace else.

Track time is sparce.

You'll have a 2000 mile round trip expense, you could sleep in a van at Walmart.  Shower and shave at the track before it closes in the evening.  Tires.  Don't skimp.

How much?  Really depends upon you.

but if you have never been to Daytona it is worth going just to say you raced there

Another thing crossed my mind.
Is the first race event concidered a national event and the points received count twards my region, or is it concidered a regional event?

Also; Is the last event, R.O.C., a regional or a national event and can you register or is it an invitational only event?

won't count towards the region points as far as I know.  Are you thinking of running the gp or mw schedule

It's a FL or SE region race, or more regions.  You'll get points there, not in MW, GP, etc.  Not an invitational event for Spring.

The only reason I ask is cause I am interested in regional points.
Being a GP racer and all the races are ran by TA, other than by winning every regional race, NOT, and running at nationals,
What can I do to get the most points per dollar for a TA series?

In other words, is there such a thing as a Regional Only championship that doesn't include nationals?

Something I forgot; question; since I live in St.L. so as to your question Dan, which region, well , that depends.
as for traveling goes, which region would be better for me costs wise?
It seems that both regions run at some of the same tracks so where to go?

Two GP points races are not ran by TA.  Road America and Heartland Park Topeka.

To get the most points per dollar, you need to win.

The only races that are "nationals" are the ASRA races themselves.

The best points bang per $$ is obviously to hit the twin sprints and double points weekends AND to do REALLY well on those particular weekends. Examine the TrackAddix schedule closely to see which weekends those are. Is Dean running any double points or Twin Sprint weekends?

TA has those tracks scheduled. http://trackaddix.com/contact/emailer.php?id=435&xsd=62

Do those tracks have events going that are not listed on the TA schedule
