George Anderson - who owns MPH gives a damn!  ...  It's worth traveling to ride there. The local community is behind the place and there is plenty to do after riding.

+1 MEeeelion!   My crash there in June put me in the local hospital for about 4 hours.  George Anderson followed the Ambulance to the Hospital, helped me out of the back and into the ER, stayed with me and kept me up to date on everything that was going on, and even got my number and called a couple weeks later to make see how recovery was going.    It's not the closest track for me (about 6 hours one way), but even if it was 600+ miles, I'd still be a customer for life.

I'll just chime in on the pros of MPH.  I didn't go bowling, but went to the kart track and the water park. I've also been on a tour of the Condo's.  George is an enthusiast at heart and a player in the community.  It's clear once you've been to Hastings that the town's people recognize the benefit of the track to their commerce.  The layout of the track makes it fun even without any elevation changes and the surface is very smooth.  Labor Day weekend was my last trip there and you can just start to notice some ripple in a few corners from the cars.  The facilities are nice and well maintained.  Now if they just keep the alfalfa mowed.  ::)

The alfalfa was my only gripe the first time we went there.

MPH is by far my favorite place to go.  The drive sucks for us (6.5 hours) but the people there make up for it.  It's such a great place to go and get treated like you live there.

Hastings is a very fun track to ride on.  You really have to plan your passes and put the corners together.  Definately a rider's track.  Here is some more footage of us playing in a track day.  Skip the first 3 min, we accidently went out in the "sighting lap" and got red flagged...

I hope to see everyone there!!

Here's one more video from Hastings for those who have never been there:

I love that track, it's a really fun layout with all of the flowing corners and no real straight, and as has been said the facilities are great.

This year will include a short Bud River Walk to our Cabin on the Platte. You will find appropriate refreshments every 100' or so...and easy George's fishing lessons for those who need a break from the pressure of riding! Also including Horse Shoe tournament for Cash and other entertainment.  Rustic cabin features indoor plumbing and mediocre air conditioning at no additional charge. The Bacardi Bus will be full I'm sure...standing room only.

You will not find another track owner more hospitable than George. Good times on and off the track.
