A premium track is no different than any other track.  Its just one more stop on the schedule.  If RA wasn't a twin sprint weekend the GP turnout wouldn't be spectacular.  Same with Topeka.  How many Chicago people would go if it was a regular single points weekend.

It appears that Gateway does not have significantly higher rate of incidences than anywhere else.  Is that because it really is safe enough, or because racers see a concrete or tire wall straight in front of them and slow down.  I don't have a whole lot of experience at Gateway, maybe 10 race/track days, but I know I'm scared.  I've only been to MAM one time and I'm not scared there.  In terms of layout and safety I'd consider RA a 1st rate track, Topeka and Daytona are 2nd rate tracks, Blackhawk is a 3rd rate track.  Gateway is somewhere between 10 and 100.  Safety sucks, management sucks, facilities suck, configuration sucks, surface sucks, water drainage sucks.  How many ways does it have to suck before everyone agrees that is sucks.

Here you go-

Its really a fun layout, flowing, great surface, super safe with tons of run-off, bathrooms and showers are nicer than home. The town and people are very welcoming to racers.

AS an FYI Jeanne, our webmistress, has to change/create the website schedule from the one that is done at the office as a PDFto have the breakout to the different regions, series, results etc.

It takes a little bit of time to do but it will match shortly.

As an FYI the first BHF May 10-11 and the last BHF Sept 27-28 are double points rounds

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"
