QuoteLMAO!!!!! - Sad but true that no one else has stepped up to the challenge!

Let me rephrase this in the way that it was intended - Sad but true that none of the other manufacturers stepped up to the challenge of producing a 750 supersport bike capable of win after win like the GSXR 750 has since it's total redesign in 1996. That is what I meant.
It is true that the 600's are currently very fast and can beat the 750's in some situations. Question though, is this because it is easier to ride a 600 than a 750 at the ragged edge? I am not trying to take any credit away from those that have gone fast on 600's, they truely have talent. I am just wondering if the racers that can ride the big power bikes fast, are becoming somewhat rare? I still remember watching Scott set the track record at BHF back in 1998 (or was it '99?) on his R1. He truely looked like he was on rails, riding smoother than almost anyone I have ever seen at BHF, it didn't even look like he was going that fast. I just wonder if the reason the 600's are beating the 750's occasionally is for the wrong reason, that being the lack of racers able to truely harness the power of the larger power bikes?
Just a little food for debate, not meant to offend anyone or take credit away from those that earned it.

I think Mladin will do it.  He's got Rich Doan managing the team so the stops will be flawless.  After the cr@p that Suzuki had for suspension last year from Showa, Suzuki will not put up with it for another year.  Honda had the good Showa stuff last year.

Eric Bostrom hates Daytona.

Ben...  I don't think his RC51 has the really good suspension this year.

Chops...  you started this, but I didn't see your pick.

And history...

In 1995, the 600 Supersport pole time was faster than the 750 Supersport pole time.  It's a pretty easy reason...600 pistons are lighter so they accelerate and deaccelerate easier than a 750.  About 10 years ago, there was talk of making AMA Superbike a 600 class.

Let's also add that 600's are very powerful now, historically speaking.  Remember the all powerful, literbike class ...

FZR1000?  120 RWHP stock
The CBR900RR?  112-115 RWHP stock
1997 SB of the year TL1000?  108 RWHP stock

Modern 600's are putting 105 or so to the rear wheel, stock.  And weigh 30-80 lbs less than those bikes.

At some point, definitely HP becomes harder to ride.  Is it because there are less talented riders?  Or because 600's have become so much closer to that happy HP area where as 750's are above it?  Probably more a function of the bikes, imho.
