Be my guest , Deep Throat . If you ever attended one of my Seminars i never even tried to drum up business i give out usefull information, There never is a charge when we have them. So name names , prices , whatever floats your boat. My record helping riders over the years is well documented in race wins and championships. So flame away , it's been done before by better morons than you. Have a Happy New Year!

I make no apologies for my comments; just have to say you guys have some brass balls to offer information to drum up business on this forum.

Don't challenge me on this, I can personally attest to your work.

FYI, you might want to keep your little sarcastic retort off the forum lest we need to name names, dates and prices.
I guess I can attest myself.  I race and I'm on track A LOT.  I don't seem to have problems other than the ones that I cause myself.

Before Ed, Shawn (at the time), and Jim ever did anything to my stuff, I'd known them for a long time.  Longer than I have taught my schools even.  I did go to one of Jim's seminars, and it was nice not to be sold anything.  There were plenty of newer track day riders and racers there, and I would say that Jim recommended brake lines, maybe some springs, and good tires.  The don't have stuff like that lying around a the shop, and that's stuff that a rider can, and should, know how to do themselves, if not now, at some point.

We talked a lot about geometry, springs, different styles of springs...rising rate and straight rate.  I'm not sure how much money others are going to spend on experience, but, hey, a day where someone that has worked with riders on a lot of levels, with a long list of equipment, even with prototype production development parts...

And it's free?  Shit, even if someone knew everything, it would still be valuable to listen.  It would either reinforce what you know, develop new lines of thought, or you just would have spent time with other racers and track day riders in the late part of the off season.

Happy New Year!

Saturday the 18th would be great, Jim.  I know I'll be there if at all possible.  I'm still not finished learning.

Got to wonder why someone so giving on "Free information" would be the subject of such flaming BEFORE by better morons than me? Or not.

BTW; nice save Dave.

you can't learn everything yourself.  If you only learn one thing from one person it is worth it to me.  If someone is willing to talk
i would be willing to listen.

I'm still not finished learning.

Hear, hear, Dave's correct.  Anytime that you can put yourself into a learning environment (and learning mode) you should benefit.

To have the chance to pick the brain of someone of the caliber and experience of Jim Rashid is an opportunity which I would definitely avail myself of (of course I live in Kansas City and getting anyone to come out here is a challenge!).

I for one cheer Jim and 4&6 for wanting to do seminars.   If "just a guy racer" knows everything already, and doesnt think he can learn anything from a pro, then sit home.  Why ruin it for the others?  There are many riders/racers that want to learn more about their bike.   You sink thousands of dollars into these things and I would doubt if more than a small percentage of us actually get 100% out of what we can do to our bikes.

I have attended several shop run seminars, with Super Dave as a speaker (Corse) and never had it be a sales pitch. It was all on the level information.

And if "just a guy racer" knew everything, why is he not riding or wrenching at an AMA level like Jim is?

I will CCP this to your email as well, But what I think allot of ppl, including  me need help with is  "When my bike is doing this, I should go this direction with my suspension settings and see if it gets better or worse" coupled with riding technique. I cant count the hours spent bench racing on this topic with no facts to back them or knowledgeable person to offer input.
What do ya think?
Looking forward to the seminar, whatever it turns out to be!

Teach me how to install some performance parts on an SV and charge lots of money!

You guys got that one down!

I can actually start a business out of doing that, with some help.....

I recently met Jim through a referral from a friend and he was all about keeping the parts I don't need to waste money on & focus on the little inexpensive things, things that cant be bought, borrowed or stolen. Only learned from people like Jim with 30+ years of riding and racing experience. For the work I am having done there his labor rates and parts pricing were MORE than reasonable and the education I have received thus far from has been nothing short of phenomenal & worth more than what I am paying BEFORE the work. It's awesome to have someone with as much knowledge as Jim nearby and I for one am honored to have my bike at his shop and am looking forward to anything further Jim offers to teach me.
Jim is not a "parts pusher"  He is passionate about racing and wants to share it....not everyone was raised to share I guess.
