How important is a slipper clutch?  Which one out there is the best and can you use stock clutch plates?  How easy are they to install.  Who prefers slipper vice stock clutch?  Thanks

for me a slipper clutch is a must!  it allows me to click off downshifts smoothly after i'm tired or get arm pump. the stock slipper in my r6 was good enough but for the honda, a hinson was first on my list. havent installed one yet but it cant be to hard  :thumb: :thumb:

Well I have an 03 gsxr 750.  Let me check and see if it might be the same.

Yeah, a slipper isn't required, but it sure is nice not having the rear end hopping back and forth like a motocross bike!

Is a slipper clutch legal in SS?  What about quick shifters?

if your bike had an OEM slipper yes... you can upgrade.  QS's are legal as well

I like that you can take and keep a line with little or engine braking going into a turn. When the rear wheel is hoppin and skippin along it makes it more challenging to keep the line that you want going in. I have a Yoyodyne in my 04 GSXR600 so if you have any questions I will be more than happy to help you. Super easy to install!

So is Yoyodyne the brand to go with?  Gixxerblade what kind of plates do you use?  I've heard Vesrah are good to use with the Yoyodyne slipper clutch.  I've been told not to use barnett.  What do you think?

Its really hard to beat a stock Suzuki clutch (fibers&plates). Most all the slippers use stock plates.
