Ice racing help

When i ride snowmobile i use a mx style helmet with goggles.  Thin balaclava for warmth works well.  (Ive ridden in -30 with this setup up with no real problems.  Just take the goggles off when not moving or they'll fog up)

Scotty, Let me know what you find out about that Kiel spot.  I live 5 minutes away and haven't heard of ice racing so close, man I'm out of the loop.

I have a lightly modified KDX 200.  What do I need to do to it for ice racing?  Cost?  I think that I'm covered on the clothes side between sailing, snowboarding/skiing wear.

Does anyone know weather or not you need a sticker from the DNR to ride in Wis - I have heard conflicting stories.?.?.?.?

I've been ice riding in Wisconsin for 3 years and I have never heard of needing any sticker.  Just get your bike set up and come out.  Its the next best thing to road racing. 

I normally follow the forum on dieseljo.com for where the ice is good, and they are good guys to ride with.

The ice at the old Sportsman Park on Delevan Lake is solid - gonna try to ride out there tomorrow depending on how much snow we get tonight. Anyone have a 4 wheeler and plow? I'm gonna see how much snow we get tomorrow morning - if we get alot and noone has a plow it would take forever to do by hand.

Well hoping for better luck next year, who would expect above freezing temps and rain in Jan in WI? 

Sorry I am not making it to the banquet, I am feeling like crap and without the allure of racing I am sure I would really be sick after 3 days of drinking

Understood, Eric.  Hope you feel better.  I reading about some snowmobile size holes in some lakes.  Probably iffy at best for the weekend.
