Steel Shoe 3 hr ice race

The 12th (almost annual, weather permitting) Steel Shoe Fund 3 hr. ice race is scheduled for January 20th at Charlies Bluff on Lake Koshkonong.

Short track racing under the lights Sat. night and the 3 hr.  on Sunday.

I've got a team that has asked me to race for them - But I kinda want to get out on the ice on my bike first and see how I fair.... Considering I have never ridden on the ice 8)

Scotty, let me know.  I may go down there with my CR80 mini, if they have a class for minis.  There are more mini racers now in the Valley than Supermoto racers.   Quite an active scene up here.

There is no class for minis. The speed differential is just too great between them and the big bikes. Sorry.

This is a roadcourse type layout of 1.5 - 2 miles in length.

No web site, though I've tried for years to get them to set one up. Call the number I gave for info.

By the way, the short track stuff on Sat. is now a day event not night.
