So as many of you all know I am picking up a 2007 CBR 1000RR Repsol when I get back to the states. Well I have sent the dealership all but $700. So on the 13th I sent out the last $700 and it was guaranteed to be delivered on the 16th. Well it is now the 20th and it has yet to make it. To make things even better I spent $16 on an envelope so it could be tracked and everything else. Well the track only says that it was excepted at the post office. So I call the USPS and they tell me that it is stuck in costums in Miami. So I call the customs office in Miami and they try and find it. Well wouldn't you know it, the Miami office has no record of them getting my envelope. So I call USPS back and they tell me "Sorry we don't know what to tell you. We have the same info that you have. We suggest you cancel the check and try and resend it." So I ask them are they going to give me the $16 back for the shipping and the lady says "Nope, because we can't tell if it was our fault that the envelope didn't make it or the dealership just didn't sign for it". So I call the bank that I got the bank check from and tell them that I need to cancel the certified bank check and have one reissued. Well the bank tells me that they need a letter from the dealership that is on company letterhead saying they won't cash the check. Well now it is the weekend and I can't get shit done.

This is one of the main reasons I hate living oversea's. You can never seem to get anything done. IF anyone here works for the USPS here is the tracking number EQ660962245US. If you can find any info about please let me know.

from USPS WEB:
"Your item was accepted at 12:51 PM on October 13, 2007 in APO, AE 09102"
so now is usps responsibility

I have to send certified out regularly per a legal government requirement for filing C.O.P's. on junk cars, and I tell you this much....USPS is full of shit.  You pay them for a service that they don't guaranty to provide.  Because they are another government agency, they can get away with it.  At least when I ship stuff threw them, they deliver it to the address on the box.  and also, dont drop kick it from the truck to the door like UPS.  And signiture required?...Hah.
