resurection

Good idea find a mechanical person to help with test .
The valves are also a maintenance idem the manual is very clear on this service.
Setting your sag takes two helpers turn some knobs on shocks and spring rates.
Please give it a try, contact resurrection03 @ hot mail .com
We can help you do this for yourself

KWS and Lees are both reputable...  I'd also check with Vinnie at Proline racing to see who he recommends.  That guy really knows his stuff!!

I agree with resurecction.  You don't need to rebuild that engine.  I had 3000 race miles on my 06 GSXR 600.  I thought it was definately time for a new motor.  A race engine with 3000 miles on it is worth more in pieces than whole so we parted it out.  Everything was perfect.  The engine probably would've went another 3000 race miles.  I only use Silkolene snythetic and change the oil after every weekend and check the valves at least twice a year.  We've done two 6 hour endurances on the motor and 1.5 years of sprinting.

Also, I have a friend with an 06 R6.  We've raced endurance and team challenges this year.  I think it also has about 3000 miles.  (he crashed and destroyed the tach at 2000 miles, so I can't be for sure.  It runs awesome.

I've hear too many horror stories of guys dumping money into those 06-07 R6 motors for only a couple of ponies and a lot of heartache.  Run her till she dies, then buy a new stock motor and leave it that way.. unless you have plenty of money... then of course build it.  Or buy a Suzuki!!

Also, I've heard the very worst thing you can do to any motor is the Kit ECU's that increase the Rev limiter.  I'd really do some research before putting one of those on.

Good luck with whatever you decide...

I agree with Kurt.  Leave the thing stock unless you have plenty of money burning a hole in your wallet.  I had two 06 R6s and one 07.  Not one issue, but they were stock.  The 07 showed 114 on it with pump gas, pipe, and PC.  Just my two cents.

All stock here.... on an 06 R6 as well...  over 3000 miles on it.  Some street, some race.  No problems so far.

Seems about right since most of them race Suzukis! :)
