Guy, I'm not really sure you could call the evidence presented at your award ceremony a "Photograph", I think the correct term would actually be "Banner".

My guess is that this selection process will be a lot of fun for you, it's just too bad I wasn't able to compete this year.

Yes it was a tremendous banner. BTW not competing is not an exclusion!!!

Hawk - I don't think falling off of plane qualifies even though very spectacular because appart from being the unfortunate victim - you really didn't do anything worng which would have caused this...

Hawk did nothing to even warrent honorable mention (that I know of). I was just pointing out that you do not have to be an "active racer" to be considered. I certainly would not give the award to anyone who is a victim (that is just cruel). However the fella who moved the plane might just deserve it!!
