How do you keep your visor clear during inclement weather?

After a dismal BHF weekend last weekend, I was wondering what everyone does to keep their visor clear in those kinds of conditions.

I had to pull off during two races cause I literally could not see the track.   :wah:

I have a breath guard that deflects the hot air down to my neck. I have also used an anti fog spray that was made for paintball masks. It is safe for plastic.

Never had a problem using the FogCity fog shields.  Ridden in 30* to 40* weather also, no problems.

R1owner,
You aint kidding, I had to open up my visor every time going through turn 1 and a few other turns cuz the visor got blown shut (on the high speed sections) and fogged up...

I think its best to get a breath deflector. I've never tried one, but I've seen people use it and they claim it works well.

Or you could just do the old snow mobile trick by putting duct tape on your face and chin guard so that no breath can get up. But that can possibly come loose and get in the way of your vision like it did to me in the TC. I had trouble pulling it off on the staight so I pulled it off in T1 and then the next lap around I saw the debris flag (sorry guys).

Also, you can roll up a small piece of tape to the thickness of your pinky and wedge it between the visor and chin guard so that wind can pass through and ventilate the helmet...

Normally if its just wet, my visor doesn't fog up. But if its cold out too, then it fogs up a lot.

my 2 cents...

Used the breathe guards, duct tape partial open visor but this stuff worked.

Had an old car with no heat and this worked to keep windows fog free.

HA!  I think I bought a bottle of that a LOOOOONG time ago..  I need to see if I can find that.

I play a lot of paintball too.  They have thermal facemasks out that do not fog.  It looks simply like two pieces of lexan to form the mask.  Does anyone make a shield like that for a bike?  Is that essentially what the fog city insert does?

I didn't have any problems at Gateway with the same helmet...  I guess cause it was about 25 degrees warmer there?   Not sure though.

I don't know if this will work but what if you do like scuba divers and smear spit on the inside? Just a stupid thought...

You should try wearing glasses an racing in the rain    :ahhh:  I've tried all the chemicals and the only thing I've found that works is to wear a Scorpion Helmet.  I don't know what they do, but I couldn't believe how awesome it is to see when I had my first rain race in the Scorpion helmet.  I haven't tried the Suomy yet...  If it aint broke sorta thing....

After racing at BHF in the rain, I like the track even less!!  Traction was surprisingly good, + I was going pretty slow..   :banghead:  Still had a good time though...
