I'm loading up the bike some 14hrs north of Barber, and I'm scrambling eggs on my fuel tank!  I think instead of contingency money this weekend in Alabama, CCS should offer popsicles to the first 5 places in each race, I know my lap times would get better!  100 degrees, full leather suit, track temp near the surface of the sun, so why do we do this again?...oh yeah, It's Cool! 8)  See ya in a couple days.

The heat index shouldn't be more than 110 or 115. You'll be fine.

BTW, since when is Jennings the cooler track to go to?

That was hot!!!  We spent more money on propel and ice then tires, and anyone notice only HOT water came out of the bathroom sinks...But what a beautiful track, elevation changes, great straights, and some unique twisties with no repair patches!  Using the concrete curb as part of the line to set up for the museum turn took some getting used to, and the series of bumps along the back straights had me wondering if my suspension was screwed up until we figured out it was small humps caused by cars braking. I was very impressed to watch from the control building as everyone went screaming towards turn 5, equally impressive to see everyone who low or high sided there, get the bikes up and tear right back out on track, (I usually need about 5 minutes to console my bike and shake off the pending financial trauma).  I'm very glad our racing sister MJ made it back to the track from her high side, heal up quick! Great meeting yoots SE bunch, Shenandoah in two weeks!
