Having been out for 12 years, just wondering;;

1- When were track days implemented? locally, nationally and globally?

2- When were Control Riders implemented?  locally, nationally and globally?

Any other changes?

Internationally?  I don't have a great answer.

But riders definitely started going to licensing schools for the opportunity to ride a track without racing before track day organizations existed. 

Right around 1996 is when some track day programs started.  Others later.  I believe control riders were more or less around from the beginning.
