Hey Arnie, congratulations on a great job!  Wish I could have been there with you guys.

I have no idea what the CCS officials last weekend were looking at but I actually had at least 4 or 5 races in the 1:29's (if not more) and the fastest was 1:29.599.  Those were the times actually posted on the results board as well as called out by Geoff Allen over the PA system, and the "CCS Officials" had the opportunity (and supposedly did) to review the results before posting the news article that's in the archives, so I'm not sure where the guys from last weekend got their info but it's definitely not accurate based on the "OFFICIAL" results posted last year.

I guess this shows why immediate public posting of results can be important.

In any case, you and Lloyd obviously did great and I'm just sorry I couldn't be there with you.

Maybe next time.

I thought Rob had done a 1:29.6 because I asked his dad, and I even told the CCS officials that, but they said his  record from last year was a 1:30.2 according to their records.

It was way too many times to count actually.  Some races it would have been easier to tell control who didn't hit the cones and who didn't blow the chicane.  Speaking of chicanes I'm wondering why riders wouldn't go ahead and do the same routine in practice as during the race.  Had quite a few people blow the chicane during the race and not stop as well.  Just do a half hearted attempt.  It sucked but had to call control for both offenders of the chicane and cones.  It almost seems unfair on a 6 lap race to have to do the ride through at Shenny.  We did make a tremendous effort to duct tape the cones down as well.  Mr. Beggs was one of my offenders on Sunday with the cones.

I think I know what the issue was on the official track record. The officials were looking at expert times not rememebring that a very fast Amatuer actually set the lap record last year. The article from last year does have the correct lap times for Robert Wilkey posted.

So Lloyd has the Expert lap record and
Rob has the Am lap record. They are just backwards.

Lol.  I believe Eric would tell you that a track only has one lap record....   :lmao:
