I raced on the Summit Point, Shenandoah track for the first time this weekend. I'd heard some pretty bad things about this track, poor run off and concrete walls etc. I thought it was a blast, but I don't run at anything like the speeds of the fast guys. Yeah there are a couple of places that are scary, but I don't know of a track that doesn't have some scary place or other. I ran it on an old Gixxer 600, I think the place must be a real handful for anyone on anything bigger though.

So..despite giving you a hard time on Saturday ... you were great out there  :thumb: - both on the track and off.... (meaning off the track as in not racing but corner working - I am NOT alluding to any type of motocross activity by any particular participant in Saturday's events  ::))

It really was a great weekend, and you're right, anything bigger n our 600's would have been a bear on that course.  I think our bro Ivan was the only one to risk a liter bike.  Hey and to top it off, the weather held back, even though it was raining all around us.  Anyone get caught in the killer storm that dumped hail all over my bikes on the way home?

Come on Chaplain, you know I had a liter bike.  Definitely made it a workout.

I hit rain but no hail, traffic was horrible on east bound 70.

No worries Simon, I went for an off-track romp in turn two.  I also want to apologize to the rider behind me when I came back across the track.  I couldn't stop in the mud.

Hey Jason!  Once again, looked like you picked up the track pretty easily!  Your form and lines looked good out there!!  :thumb:

You know Kumi, one of these days we'll have to officially meet.

Thank you again to all the Corner Workers and CCS Staff that made it an outstanding event.

Yeah, we are usually out there on the corners before the pits really get hopping in the morning, and then at lunch we are all gathered in the cafe renourishing before running back out to the corners before the lunch hour is over- then we don't get BACK to the pits until substantially after the track has gone cold - so it sometimes is difficult to find time to make it into the pits for introductions but yes, we will meet one day...just make sure we meet in the pits and not in my corner during an event  ::) :thumb:

Hey Jason, I was working on the inside of turn 3 on Sunday when you ran off. Nice control in the grass, a lot of people panic brake and go down.

After re-viewing both my on board video and external video, there was really no reason for me to run off the way I did.  I wasn't looking where I should have been.  I saw edge of track coming and instead of just leaning further I chose to straighten up.  Probably the better choice but either way, I was able to get back on the track.  I also should apologize for making your corner dirty, I tried to stay off the line when I re-entered...

Hopefully that's the last time I do that...

Jason, I was watchin from the bridge when ya went off, and I gotta hand it too ya...through the mud, crossed the track, dodged the bike, back in the grass, cleared the tire wall, then back to the race.  You da man workin them brakes, good meetin ya bro.
