Six inch numbers ARE legal on the rear plates.  (not on the front)  But, the 'Carbon Look' would not pass tech in the Midwest region, in my opinion.

My experience is that you might even have a hard time with the six inch numbers.  Tech tried to make my buddy take them off his bike until he forced them to read the rule book.

You should be OK...note the word 'should'.... :-/

Yes, they can get pretty picky with the numbers but more so for the front ones since they historically score from those.

But, with the transponders, even that will be less of an issue, see how they are now allowing Euro style numbers on the side of the front of the bike.

I would bring some extra solid black numbers just in case.
