so there was also a round at Hastings this last weekend.. where the hell was everyone???? 165 licensed GP racers and about 50-60 showed.   :wtf:  Thanx to the MRA guys from Colorado to account for half the turnout.  My grids consisted of 2 amateurs in the GTO, 2 in the Unl. SS, 4 in Unl. GP and me, myself and I in Unl. SBK.  Thanx for the points.

I was racing at BHF this weekend, mostly for reasons you have already stated...Much better competition in the MW with faster guys. Got to race with faster guys to get faster. And I am not implying that I am the fastest guy in the GP Region, so don't go there.

I plan on giving Hastings a try in Sept. I had heard they still do not have curbing down yet? Plus I do not care for the one day race format which is another reason I perfer to race with CCS Fort Worth.

I understand the reasons.. especially now.  I told myself at the beginning of the year that I would race every round of the GP region so that's what im doing.. Unfortunately there are only 2 other guys that I compete with in this region so next year may be a different story.  It's sad becasue they (trackaddix) are trying really hard to put together a nice region with many (MANY) different tracks on the schedule and Im affraid it's not going to last long with the turn out they are getting.

I know a lot of guys that couldn't go for various reasons.  Work conflicts, motor problems, lack of money from crashing, etc..  I will say we had a lot of good racing and yet another extremely well run event by Trackaddix.  I was on the road home by 4:30 and I raced the second to last race!

racrx451-one problem can be running a 1000.  The grids are notoriously small in the unlimited grids unless you have a huge region.  The MW stuff all had pretty nice grids with plenty of people to get contingency money.

All the MW races looked like they had fairly decent sized grids which is cool...All other grids were non-existant thou...

How is the track, is it done? Last I heard there was still no curbing?

It has curbing in places, not in others.  Overall, that track is pretty good and the competition in the MW races was good.  I just checked the schedules, and the Hallett race on August 12th has some real potential as it is 2 weeks after the July CMRA race, and 2 weeks before their August race.  It is also 1 week off the August MW region race.  Last year it conflicted with both CMRA and CCS MW races so the turnout was light, but I really think it could be good this year.  If you are looking for competition, be sure to make that one.

Wish I could have made Hastings but I'm short on vacation already.  I do plan on being there for the Labor Day weekend round :thumb:

My first time at Hastings and i have to say i love the track and its only going to get better they (trackaddix staff) marked all the corners for where we (motorcycle racers) want curbing to be and i think they are going to start puting them in soon.
its really a fun track so many places to pass and there is traction every where i and a big Thank you to TrackAddix for trying to make it fun again for everyone MAM had a band on Sat night and at Hastins trackaddix and the track split the bill and brought everyone that wanted to go to the local waterpark it was actual alot of fun after a hot day in the sun.

This was our first trip to Hastings.  While I did ok (2 4th in MW SS and MW SBK) I wish they would have mowed the dang grass.  The rest of the place is first class.  There was some good racing this weekend.

Thanks to TA for giving us a shot at a good series.

Maybe all those crashes on Sat contributed to the lighter grids on Sunday!

although the grids were small I had a great time.. very nice facility.. I too wish the grass had been cut & the rest of the curbin put in but that track is fun.  I know that me being on a 1000 limits my comp & that's y next year will be a 600 for me... thanx to trackaddix for a great weekend.
