Best of luck tomorrow. I was so happy to rid of mine after 5 months. It made thing a lot easier like sleeping and getting dressed.  My mother made me boxers with velcro on the sides so I could get them on.

God Damn dude. I'd have bought you some lego's. I know they aren't as cool as an erector set, but you get a lot more pieces for WAY less money.

i hope you heal up okay man. that looks like a rough way to spend the summer.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

How did it go Rob? Hope all is well. Will you be spectating at RA?

Hey Rob,

You were just ahead of me and I saw you go down.  Came by your trailer a few times over the weekend to see if I could help with something and you weren't around, the bike didn't look to bad but someone said you were at the hospital with a possible broken ankle.

I called and left a message that Monday to see how you were doing but see now why you haven't called back.  You've been busy building a formula extreme leg, damn dude! that thing is all tweaked out!

Sorry you had such a bad injury, the crash looked like a simple low side and it didn't look like you had more than a tumble or two.

Freaky to see the result.

Get well soon buddy

Rob, don't listen to Temme. I'll tell you the real story;

Jason was worried he was gonna run out of U4. I brought him three cans, but he wanted a fourth.

When the Temmes found out that you got the last can, they took action...
Jason studied your line through the carousel in practice, then snuck out turn three to apply a layer of 10w-40 to the track.
Meanwhile, according to witnesses, Jim was out digging ankle-snapping booby traps in the runoff area.

Saturday morning Jim was banging on the door of my RV, asking for the last can of fuel. When I said it was yours, a maniacal grin crept across his face, and he sneered, "Rob won't be needing it."

It's disgusting what racers will do for a can of  U4.

yeah...  i was otherwise unhurt, not even a bruise!!  the bike had a broken clip on, scuffed bodywork and footpeg. that all makes it pretty hard to take!!

no RA for me, its gonna be a while before i can stand (or sit with my foot down)but all fixed up now,  i did discover a new level of pain!!! This was the 7th surgery I've had (two of the others were my left ankle but not broken so bad. others  were ruptured ACL and flesh wound repair) so I'm no stranger to pain and suffering but this was the real deal!!! i dont know if i wanna risk going through something like this again..... props to dano! cant imagine his ordeal

Glad to hear from you. I know what your feelings about staying away, but for some reason the track will bring you back. I found that the healing part was the most painful. It will get better and hope to see you again.

Dang! I'm late to the update, but that looks pretty darn painful.  I hope your doing better by now.  Hopefully you can get back out to at least a track day before the season is over.  I don't know how Dano does it.  All this time on sidelines has to be driving him nuts!
