who would be the trackside vendor in the mid-atlantic or southeast region that sells the SBS CC brake pads?
any ideas what the ball park price would be on them?

Always wondered, how do they compare to typical sintered pads?  Most people I've talked to say not to use them but I'm curious.

NightHeat

well thats what i was wondering to.  I've been running the Vesrah's but at $160 to completely change out the front is quite steep.
It seems the guys on the WERA board believe the Ferodo's, SBS's and the Vesrah's are all quite comparable.  Seems more of them lean towards the SBS's and the Vesrah's.  But some great compliments on the new Ferodo's SinterGrip ST's.  So i'm willing to try something different to save some $$$.  I know that as far as the EBC compared to the Vesrah's there is no comparision.  The vesrah's are by far the best from my expierence. Just a little pricy

Do you mean the DC's??  They are about $90 a set.

yes the DC, my bad.  It was the computer's typo not mine, i swear

So is that $90 for both calipers or just one?

Oh and who might have them at the track if you know

Spooner

Any shop can get them through parts unlimited.  Its $90 for both calipers with normal 2 pads per caliper.  I would assume the 4-pad calipers would be a good chunk more.

The dual carbon pads are definitely some of the best pads on the market. They are not a sintered metal pad which most people are used to so they work differently. Because they are actually a carbon pad they don't transfer as much heat to the backing plate and so less heat gets to the fluid. I have never experienced brake fade with SBS DC pads. They are not good to be used for the street. They defintely have to be hot to work. The first couple of corners on them are very vague but within a lap they have sufficient heat and provide the smoothest trail braking of any pad I have ever used. They are very linear, the more brake you want, the more lever you pull. Unlike sintered pads which have a huge initial bite then you have to fade off of them. They have extremely long life as well. Feel free to call my shop if you have any more questions regarding the pads. We work very closely with SBS and have access to all kinds of data to answer whatever questions you may have. We stock a ton of these pads as well and will ship them with no shipping charges.
