When I tumbled my bike and destroyed the lap timer.  I thought I'd have to pay on top of everything else I needed to replace.

Just a note to my fellow racers, as long as you can identify the lap timer #, you won't get charged.  If you crash make sure you grab that piece or it's $150.00

Also, I broke my XT lap timer's display.  I sent it off to XT, they fixed it in one day and only charged me $33.00. 

Or you could just not try to make stupid passes and don't crash
