So, the new site still sux!

Still can't change password.

Also, they have the Team/Solo events messed up. It seems that they have accidentally omitted the 2nd round at carolina motorsports park. In the dropdown list there are still 8 rounds, but it goes from Daytona (round 1) to HPT (round 2) which should actually be round 3.... This is confusing! It really looks like they have last year's (2006) schedule posted because I see Barber and Summit point on the schedule. Hmmm, don't they have lots of money and resources to get this website straight? I mean how hard is it? I guess I have to give them a call again.

Anyone know when they are going to mail out the cards?

First thing is that you have to re-register for your contingency program all over again, annoying but easy.  Second you have to post your results on their site.

Here is the key different part.  We, us racers, need CCS to log into the pirelli site and post the results and not just send them to them.  It does not work that way any more.  I will call tomorrow and see if they know about this change and have their login to post the official results.

Maybe pirelli did not give CCS folks the correct site or log-in.  I will try to call tomorrow, as I still have not gotten my contingency from Carolina

Carolina???  I havent gotten mine from VIR from the second week of March.  It has results date of april 23rd, which is what I am assuming is the date they got the results from WERA.  Rewards cards were SUPPOSED to be mailed BY April 30th.  At this point I will be shocked if I see anything by middle or end of May.  It's a shame, it shouldnt take 2 months to get your contingency.

just the solo challenge. I haven't been doing sprints; too crazy and difficult to win on an underpowered machine

Ok, I just checked out the status of my claims on their crappy website.

Found out that my Daytona ASRA Solo Challenge (round1) claim was rejected. I can hardly believe this. There were 24 entries in that race and I took 2nd. I put lots of effort into that event/race. If pirelli is going to continue to give sh1tty racer support, I'm going to switch tire brands. This is totally not cool. They promised those debit cards would be mailed out april 30th, now its may 9th, no cards and they still haven't even got their website to function properly.

I tried calling Shelly Eliot at 706-368-5426 but she wasn't in. Left a message, hope she calls back.

At this point, right now, I feel like "F#ck pirelli..." :finger:

Does it say why it was rejected?

Did you list Pirelli as a sponsor (it's one of the contingency requirements)?

I know you're upset but traditionally contingency payouts by most every company that pays have been slow coming.  There are a few factors as to why this is the case and some are out of their control.

I'm still waiting for VP contingency for 2006, I doubt I'll ever see it.

Moving to a different tire because your upset at the time it takes to receive contingency would be a mistake IMHO.

Pirelli has an awsome tire this year and you may not find the "contingency grass" any greener somewhere else.

It didn't say why it was rejected.

Pirelli is always listed as my 2nd sponsor after my main sponsor. And I always turn the sponsor list in before the race, usualy to tech while I'm getting my tech inspection. Funny thing is the sponsors aren't listed in the Daytona results (http://www.ccsracing.com/results/2007/030207%20DIS%20ASRA%20TC%2007.htm), not sure why. Maybe that's why it was rejected?

But they are listed in my CMP results, http://www.ccsracing.com/results/2007/041507%20CMP%20TC%20Results.htm

Not sure if Pirelli sees the same results that we do... Any opinions?

Seems like the Pirelli site still has the wrong Team/Solo Challenge 2007 schedule; looks a lot like the 2006 schedule. So I can't claim the correct races...

I've done my job, they should do theirs!

I bet that is the problem, contact Eric Kelcher at Eric.Kelcher@ccsracing.us to see if you can get the mix-up straightend out.  I believe you are suppose to turn in your sponsor list to registration not tech.  If your sponsor list was not uploaded for Daytona when they searched the data base for contigentcy requirements then it is likely your results were not submitted because a requirement was missing.

No, they don't.  They go by what CCS sends to them.

My guess is that ASRA sent them what they had for the TC schedule at the time Pirelli requested it (maybe they only had 2006 at the time), which may have been during web site construction during the off season.  When the 2007 schedule was finalized it was probably not communicated to the Pirelli web master.  Pirelli probably wasn't on the look out for a change because they thought they had a good schedule.  Just a guess but probably not too far off.

Sorry if I sound upset... Don't mean to be so negative.... Sometimes I just get so frustrated.

Team_Serpent, I know you were at Daytona. You know how much of a pain it is to go ALLLL the way outside the track to get to registration!

But actually now that I think of it, I filled the sponsor list out while I was waiting in line at registration and turned it in there? Not 100% sure if I turned it in there. I know I filled one out, no doubt about that.

Ok spoke with Pirelli today.

They thought the Team/Solo challenge all ran on the same weekends as ASRA sprints ran, they don't, so they are correctling their website with another dropdown for that series.

Another thing Pirelli needs your SSN number reported from us in order to correctly identify you into their system. If you did not provide a SSN number (or EIN) to us then your results would not be uploaded.

The information that is reported to them is going to be done once this year get it right the first time; with a sponsor list, product usage, stickers, contingency tech inspection; they are holding to the 30 day policy that is in place that they need the info within 30 days of the event. We are going to electronic transfer of information and normally that means Pirelli will have the information from us by the Thursday following the event (if I am traveling it may be the Wed of the week after).

The cards have been printed by Am-Ex and just verifying that everything is working as it should and they will be sent out shortly.
