opion about back protectors, and help

I've worn both the Knox and Alpinestar Tech and crashed in both.

I think the Alpinestar protected me better and definitely helped in that specific accident because the bike spun and the clip-on hit me in the back.

 I've only tested mine once and the leathers showed I had hit pretty hard on my shoulder and back. The protector came with the Teknic suit and is a series of plastic plates. I didn't know my back hit till I took off my leathers. Don't leave the pits without one.

My leathers are on the tight-side, in the torso so I had big contsraint/moveability probs w/ the Bohn.
My dianese 'fit' much better, and I like the hard plastic to stave off punctures/sharp impacts.
