i highsided in the second round, first lap, of group 1 practice. i was following max grant #53 , and was pretty much pussyfooting around, as i was just learning the track. does anyone know what turn i was in, and what happened?

i was knocked out briefly, and woke up as they were cutting off my leathers. [my collarbone was sticking up out of my shoulder]

they were going to lifeflight me to the trauma center, but the bird was going to be 20 minutes before it could be inbound, so i went by ground

i'm glad they didn't, and took me to kershaw instead. the doctors and nursing staff there are the best.

kudu's to dr. thomas joseph [orthopedic surgeon] who plated my collarbone, took care of my broken scapula too, and got me released saturday morning so max could get me home to connecticut. i can't say enough about how well i was treated by everyone, both in the hospital, and in the paddock. you guys/gals in th sotheast are great. :thumb:

anyhow, sorry about the terrible typing...it hurts to reach for the shift key

Hey man, I was pitted across from you (guy w/ pony tail). Glad to see that you made it home!

I'm not sure which turn you went down in...

Glad to hear you are ok, I would blame the blowing sand mostly.
If you love something let it go, and if it comes back you have just high sided.

glad your ok now and walking around. I took it easy as i didnt feel any traction in the front and was going wide drifting the front tire in most of the turns,my rear tire had good traction though.
