I just a set of PowerStands programmable tire warmers, first time I've used this kind. Does anyone know the recommended setting for use with a PR1/PR4 combo?

Thanks!

Super Dave

Where are you located?

I run 140F front and 180F rear for 45 minutes.  PR4's I'd only use if it was really, really, really hot outside.

It's almost cold everywhere.  You might need blankets over the warmers to actually hold in any heat, again, depending upon your local weather.

I'm in NE Florida... It's been varying weather lately, some days in the high 80's, some days in the 70's...

I've used the PR4 and PR5... they both worked for me but it was under different conditions and I didn't take any notes!  So 140/180F? I'll give it a try thanks!

I'm in SC now.  Weather's goin' down hill quick, but will be worse in my trek back to WI...LOL!

I know that we usually only run the PR4 if its above 90 or so.  We raced at Topeka and it was 85.  Went after the PR5.

Maybe Melka will chime in as he would have a good handle on things.  Not sure what he'd share, but it might be an idea or two...maybe.

the 140deg F front 180deg F rear is just about right. And yes, the pr4 im told wont be good unless it is 85+ outside. I use the 3 all the time as the grip is just that much better even though it wont last alot of races.

Thanks for the tips guys... ran a PR1/PR4 combo on Sat and a 1200/1800 combo today. I didn't even know Michelin had a PR3, I thought they just skipped that number! lol

The warmer temps were right on, so next time I'll try a PR5 or try to find a PR3...

Peace out!

Did those feel different?  They are very different tires.
